Hello friends! Welcome to our new blog. Thanks for stopping by! As most of you probably know we just moved from Kochi, Japan to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We left our friends, our jobs, and our home in Kochi to start all over on the other side of the world. Thankfully it took us less than a week to find an old house in Pittsburgh to call our new home. This also seemed to me like the perfect time to start a new blog. I chose the name new house project because I like what each of the words mean separately and all together. New is definitely appropriate because so many things are new to us these days, house because we are working on fixing up our house and because so much of our life revolves around that space, and project because we always have LOTS of projects going on. I can’t keep track of all of the projects that I have planned for fixing up our place! And I’m sure that Junji will have a lot of pottery projects to share too. I will be posting all of the things that Junji is making as well. So, please visit us often at new house project. It should be fun!

I enjoyed reading about your life in Japan as I used to live there as well and had my first child there. And moved back to the US! It will be fun to read about your house adventure as well. Your daughter is adorable and I love your husband’s pottery. Good luck with the house… looks like fun!
Hey Kirsten, it seems like a good idea to start a new blog… it was so interesting to read about Japan and now I am really looking forward to read and see all about your life in Pittsburgh. The house looks wonderful and interesting. Oh, if we could find a house like that around here! I love old places. Good luck and best wishes from Germany
Anne
Oh, I am sorry I typed your name wrong. I believe it is Kristen… Kirsten is a common name in german. Sorry but I couldn’t edit my comment!
How lovely your new house is! And Saya looks fine. I’m looking forward to reading your new blog. I’ve just started my project, knitting, with my new teacher… Good luck with your new house project!
