Saya was sitting on my lap this morning. I was reading her a book, and looking at her hair. The back keeps growing longer and longer, but the sides are still short. I love her precious little curls in the back, but I decided right then and there that the mullet needed to go. Five minutes later she had a new short summer bob. I think it looks pretty darn cute, and I’m sure neither of us will miss the daily brushing/pony tail struggle.

Today she was wearing her new dress that I made for her. The pattern is from Japanese sewing book, and I like it because the straps become a drawstring that ties in the back. That means it should fit her for a long time. The fabric is Nani Iro that I bought in Japan last summer.
