Junji and I have been crazy busy these past couple of weeks getting ready for a craft show we are doing next month. As a result our house has been neglected. I have my work everywhere, and I haven’t done any home-improvement kind of things for a long time.
We got a hand-me-down sofa from my sister a while back and I have been thinking about making a cover for it. Yesterday I made up my mind to finally get down to it. I made a little paper model of what the cover would look like. (If I hadn’t done this, I could have never pulled it off.) Even with the little model to look at, I kept getting confused about where to sew what. I’m almost finished, and it feels good to get something done for the house. The fabric was only 3.99 a yard, and I used a 40% off coupon to buy it, so it wasn’t an expensive project at all, but it makes the place feel a little bit fresher and nicer I think.
