On Saturday morning Junji had to work, so I decided to drag Saya with me to an estate sale. This could have been a disaster, but it turned out fine. Saya had a good time, and I didn’t go too crazy trying to keep track of her while she explored room after room full of treasures. I found some good things too…

This tin box was full of little keys, and I’m not sure what to do with them.

Sweet little ceramic tray.

I liked the covers of these books, and the colors. I thought Saya might enjoy the riddle book when she is older. Q. Why is a farmer cruel to his corn? A. Because he pulls its ears. Q. What is worse than raining cats and dogs? A. Hailing taxis.

A book of Aesop’s fables–accompanied by Antonio Frasconi’s linoleum block prints. They are great.

And of course I scooped up as much fabric as I could. Most of what I got were smallish pieces and scraps, but I will put them to good use. I have a plan…
these are all wonderful finds.
