Hello again. I didn’t mean to take such a long break from this blog, but it just felt right to stay away from the computer for a while over the holidays. We had a wonderful fun break–lot’s of family in town, very busy. After that we got to sneak away to the mountains for three days. It was so relaxing. The adult:child ratio was 4:1, so I got to sleep in and take naps. I only had to cook one meal. We watched movies, read books, and played board games.
Another highlight of the break was New Year’s Eve. I made a sea turtle costume for Saya and she marched with her friends (also dressed as various sea creatures) in the big parade downtown. She did such a great job, and I was the proudest mama in the whole world. She was waving at everyone, and although I didn’t see it, I heard she was on the news. (That makes three times for Saya in 2009.)
Today was just a normal day spent catching up on laundry and putting away Christmas decorations. The house feels really nice right now. I am going to get back to posting regularly, so check back soon. Scroll down for some photos from the last two weeks…

Love the turtle, but the super hero outfit is just too cute and the look on her face, priceless.
